Music at Funerals

I ask the question;  which is better at a funeral, live music or something played through a system, such as a PA, or facilities sound system from some recording or IPod?

On occasions where I have had the privilege to have some one playing at a funeral, in particular one brave lass of 16 at her grandfathers funeral; it was amazing what the piece played did  during the remembrance section of the service. It may have increased the grief but it certainly enhanced the memories!

To day I had the opportunity to discuss this with a musician, a singer, who would like the opportunity to  broaden their portfolio and sing at  funeral because they felt that it would bring a new dimension to ceremonies and create lasting memories.
